“We all do better when we all do better.” – Senator Paul Wellstone
I was born and raised in Chicago, and when I moved to Colorado in 1996, I never looked back. Except maybe when I wanted a hot dog (no ketchup please) or a hug from my family.
My professional career has been in marketing and advertising. After earning an MA with honors in British Literature from Northeastern Illinois University, I moved to Conifer and began writing for technology companies. Eventually, I became a Copy Director with the Ogilvy advertising agency.
In 2008, just as the markets were crashing, I helped found a consultancy called Posit Partners. We focused on supporting renewable energy and other clean technology companies. Which was great! But I wanted to be able to make a tangible positive difference in peoples’ lives, so I became more involved in local government. One of my core beliefs is that if I can help people, I should.
I was appointed to the Lyons Planning and Development Commission (PCDC) in 2019, ran for the Board of Trustees in 2020, and was unopposed when running for Mayor in 2022.
I live in Old North with my husband (who has had many, many solo dinners over the past few years) and our two dogs, Pearl and Pancho. My stepdaughter and her partner live in Hygiene.
